US Army retired. My martial arts journey started with Judo, while stationed at Ft. Sam Houston. I worked up to my brown belt. Shortly after life got in the way, schools, deployments, babies and PCS. While stationed in Germany I was able to start training BJJ with a small group of great practitioners, learning and growing. I received two stripes during my time there and then PCS to Missouri where I found CXBJJ/Parabellemas. All of my belt promotions have come through there with Prof Frank Rodriguez as a coach and mentor. Despite time off for COVID, another TDY cross the pond and an injury set back right after my promotion to brown belt, I'm back on the mat's now and having a great time. Our gym isn't just a gym, it's a family, supporting each other along the way.
